How to turn off Emergency SOS function?

Galaxy devices with OneUI 5.0 or higher have an Emergency SOS function that lets users make an emergency call by quickly pressing the side button 5 times. Users can turn off this function to prevent accidental calls.

How to turn off Emergency SOS automatic dialing?

Step 1. Locate and tap the Settings icon on your Galaxy device.

Step 2. In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap on Safety and emergency.

Step 3. Within the Safety and emergency menu, select Emergency SOS.

Step 4. Tap the switch button to turn Emergency SOS off (or on, if you wish to re-enable it).

Step 5. Re-enabling the Feature (Optional)

To re-enable Emergency SOS, follow the same steps and toggle the switch back on.

 

Additional Features (Optional)

Explore related settings, such as adding emergency contacts or setting up medical information for quick access during emergencies.

By following these steps, you can disable the Emergency SOS automatic dialing feature to prevent accidental calls. If you need to re-enable it later, simply toggle the switch back on.
