How do I connect an external source to my Samsung Sound Tower

Want to sing, perform or play a guitar through the Samsung Sound Tower? Here's how you can connect a microphone or a guitar to the device. Check out the steps below for more information. 

Once you have connected your microphone, you can also set up Karaoke Mode.

External Mic to Mic 1
1 Turn the MIC 1 “VOL” knob to minimum to reduce the volume level.
Highlight volume dial on mic 1
2 Connect a microphone to the MIC 1 jack on the unit.
Mic 1 plug in
3 Adjust the volume using the MIC 1 “VOL” knob.
4 Adjust the effect of the echo using the MIC 1 “ECHO” knob.

5 Speak or sing into the connected microphone.

Note: 

  • When using the wireless Group Play or Stereo mode, the audio from the microphone connected to the Host or Sub system will be output only on Sound Tower that it is plugged in. In contrast, microphones connected to Sub systems will only be heard on their respective systems.
  • When Sound Tower is in battery mode, the MIC sound level will be lower. 
  • Toggle the switch to MIC 2 or GUITAR input source (Volume is lower compared on Microphone source).
Connecting guitar to mic 1
1 Toggle the "MIC2/GUITAR" switch to "GUITAR" mode.
2 Turn the MIC 2 “VOL” knob to minimum to reduce the volume level.

3 Connect an optional Guitar to the MIC 2 jack on the unit.
Mic 2 Plug in
4 Adjust the volume using the MIC 2 “VOL” knob.
5 Play into the connected guitar.

Note: 

  • When using the wireless Group Play or Stereo mode, the audio from the guitar connected to the Host or Sub system will be output only on Sound Tower that it is plugged in. In contrast, Guitar connected to Sub systems will only be heard on their respective systems.
  • When Sound Tower is in battery mode, the Guitar sound level will be lower.
